Simple dessert recipes can also be incredibly good for you. My gooey thick Banana Date Ice Cream can be whipped up in minutes. You won't believe how delicious my easy to make dessert recipes can be!

Simple dessert recipes

I create all kinds of quick easy dessert recipes in my kitchen using only fresh, whole, unrefined ingredients with none of the junk!

You can totally satisfy your sweet tooth while maintaining a healthy eating lifestyle.

I say thumbs up to sweets, as long as they're healthy sweets!

Simple Dessert Recipes: Banana Date Ice Cream:

Simple dessert recipes

Ingredients:

You will need:

4 plump medjool dates, chopped (remove pits)

4 frozen bananas*

*Simply peel the bananas and pop them in your freezer before you go to bed at night. When you wake up, they'll be ready for you.

Are your bananas ripe? They're ripe when they have plenty of brown spots. They should look this:

Ripe banana

Eating fruit only when it's ripe is super important for us healthy eaters because only then are the flavors and the vitamins "unlocked." Remember: eating unripe fruit = indigestion + gas + bland flavor!

Unripe bananas taste and smell starchy, have little flavor and are hard to peel. Ripe bananas smell and taste sweet and they peel easily.

Directions:

1) Take your bananas out of the freezer 45 minutes to one hour before you're ready, in order to soften them up a bit.

2) Put them in your high-speed blender or food processor along with the chopped dates and blend until very smooth. You don't have to add water (if you do, add no more than 1/4 cup!).

Spoon into a bowl or mug and enjoy!

TIPS:

Try adding 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut water! YUM!

Using only simple and fresh ingredients is what makes my quick easy dessert recipes so flavorful & unforgettable!

My favorite time to enjoy these simple dessert recipes (especially Banana Date Ice Cream!) is in the evening as an after-dinner treat when I'm relaxing with my fiance and our dog. I love that such a tasty treat can be so good for me!

Do you have a powerful blender?

If you want to make quick easy dessert recipes and other delicious healthy recipes like my fruit smoothies, salad dressings and sauces a part of your everyday diet, then you're going to want to invest in a REAL BLENDER!!!

I cannot more highly recommend the Vita-mix blender. It's an investment of money, but I can honestly say it's worth every penny. Finally giving up those cheap blenders and getting a Vita-mix professional blender was, for me, like getting out of a twenty year old pickup truck and sliding behind the wheel of a BMW! One of the best decisions I've ever made.
