Reminds me of my smoothie experience

Just another example of problems with high fat plus high fruit... I'm coming from a *usually* high-fat/low-carb diet. A week or so ago, I decided to experiment with a green-ish smoothie, using stuff I had - a few cups of baby spinach, 2 bananas (1 frozen), ~1 cup fresh strawberries and blueberries, ~2 cups frozen berries, and a handful of walnuts. This tasted pretty good, but I was tired of drinking/eating it about halfway through. For some reason, I forced myself to drink more of it (still didn't finish it).
And I monitored my blood sugar (my husband is diabetic). Oddly, my blood sugar dropped a little at first, but eventually rose (almost 3 hours later) to 134 (I don't remember what the units are, but the US version) and stayed there for a while. Now, to my mother (who is also diabetic) 134 would be great and she'd feel fine, but I felt TERRIBLE - foggy, incredibly fatigued, and vaguely ill. (Not at all hungry, though!)
I think I'd have been fine if I'd stopped eating when I stopped wanting it. (I also think I'd have been okay if I'd just skipped the frozen berries, because I can eat 2 bananas without any problem.)
Suffice it to say, I think I'll stick with your higher-fat smoothie versions.
